Summer vacation is here, and it's time to enjoy the holidays with the little ones through music and drama, diving into the joyful world of children's performances!
The Little Trout Children's Choir annually hosts the 'Children's Performing Arts Show'. Choir members and musical theater performers aged 3-16 will present their joyful songs and captivating musicals, showcasing the fruits of their diligent learning.
The two-day family-friendly concert will feature different themes and performances. On August 23, 'Unleashing Great Potential' will see children singing in groups in various languages, including songs like 'Kitty Cat', 'I Love You', 'Mickey Mouse March', 'Together', and 'Big Potential for Little Children'. In addition, the young performers will don animal costumes for musicals such as 'Who's the Best?' and 'The Unusual Chick', along with drum performances of 'Universal Joy' and 'Flowing Water', unleashing limitless potential.
The theme for August 24 is 'Love My Home'. Little flowers, blades of grass, saplings, and animals are all part of nature, closely connected to our lives. The children will express their love for nature through songs like 'Diligent Worker', 'Sakura', 'Eensy Weensy Spider', 'It's a Small World', 'Love for Mom and Dad', and 'I Love Summer'. They will also perform musicals such as 'Eco-Superhero', 'Finding the Hermit Crab's Home', and 'Stay Away from the Ugly Monster', adding a touch of love to the future.
The family concert is honored to feature 'Revolutionary Percussion', showcasing the children's diverse musical talents through percussion.
Established in 2003, the Little Trout Children's Choir derives its name from Schubert's 1817 art song 'Die Forelle' (The Trout). Emphasizing the five domains of education, namely, virtue, wisdom, physique, sociability, and aesthetics, the choir hopes that children will swim freely in the boundless world of music like little trout.
The choir has been invited to perform in various shows and has hosted the 'Children's Performing Arts Show' multiple times between 2010 and 2025. They have also produced several original children's musicals, including 'Adventure in the Toy Kingdom', 'A House Full of Kids', 'Singing Dreams' (premiere and rerun), 'Little Chef B & Bala', 'My Grandma is a Female Warrior?!', and 'The Helper's Adventure'.
